Terms of Service & Liability Waiver

Effective Date: August 2026

⚠️ CRITICAL DIRECTIVE: REFER TO OFFICIAL ORGANIZATIONSAll information presented on CampVector (including campsite availability, wildfire perimeters, smoke indices, road hazards, and travel routes) is aggregated from third-party public feeds. This platform is not an official source of safety or booking information. Always refer to official government organizations for booking, park statuses, active hazards, and emergency evacuation orders.
⚖️ OFFICIAL NON-AFFILIATION DISCLAIMERCampVector is an independent data aggregation and notification tool. We are not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the British Columbia Government, BC Parks, Parks Canada, Camis Inc., or any government agency. All official reservations and inquiries must be made directly with those respective entities.

1. Nature of the Service (Notification Only)

CampVector operates solely as a monitoring and notification dispatch tool. CampVector is not a ticket reseller, booking agent, broker, or automated purchasing bot.

CampVector does not hold, reserve, buy, or resell campsite inventory. When a cancellation is detected, CampVector provides an alert and a direct link to the official booking provider (such as camping.bcparks.ca). We do not guarantee campsite acquisition. Campsite availability changes rapidly, and spots may be claimed by other members of the public before you complete your checkout on the official provider website.

2. Subscriptions, Billing, Renewal & Cancellation

  • Annual Billing: CampVector Pro ($10 CAD/year) and Pro+ Backcountry ($20 CAD/year) are billed annually in advance via Stripe.
  • Automatic Renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew on an annual basis at the prevailing rate unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon cancellation, your access remains active through the end of your current paid billing period.
  • Refund Policy: Subscription fees are non-refundable for partial billing periods except where required by applicable consumer protection laws in British Columbia or Canada.

3. Disclaimer of Warranty & Data Accuracy

CampVector aggregates real-time data from external providers (including BC Parks, BC Wildfire Service, DriveBC, BlueSky Canada, and Environment Canada). We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, timeliness, suitability, or availability of the information displayed on the platform.

Campsite availability, road access conditions, wildfire shapes, air quality levels, and weather reports change rapidly and may be delayed or corrupted during transmission. Use of any information obtained from this platform is strictly at your own risk.

4. Complete Waiver & Release of Liability

Backcountry travel, camping, hiking, and driving on Forestry Service Roads (FSRs) carry significant inherent hazards. By using this service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You assume full personal responsibility for your planning, safety, routing, equipment, and backcountry preparation.
  • Under no circumstances shall CampVector, its founders, operators, contributors, or contractors be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • This waiver covers all liability for personal injury, loss of life, property damage, delays, financial loss, vehicle damage on FSRs, wildlife encounters, smoke exposure, wildfire incidents, road closures, or booking conflicts.

5. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse CampVector services. Prohibited actions include:

  • Automated scraping or reverse engineering of CampVector APIs, internal datasets, or algorithms.
  • Attempting to probe, scan, or compromise platform security, rate limits, or authorization mechanisms.
  • Reselling alert notifications or operating unauthorized mirror services using CampVector data.

6. Official Channels & Resources

Always confirm live conditions and safety regulations through official government resources prior to departure:

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to your use of CampVector shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
